One of my personal favorites. Ms. Dickinson was an american poet in the late 1800’s. She lived her life mostly as recluse, and never married. She rarely even traveled except for a short period in her twenties. Most of her poems were not published until four years after her death. As I love many of her poems I has trouble picking which ones to showcase here so I picked two. The first is a one that I am unsure of its title if anyone knows please leave it in the comments! The second is a rather famous one known simple as “Hope”.
I’m nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there’s a pair of us–don’t tell!
They’d banish us, you know
How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!
