Love cannot be rushed
For it can go horribly,
Horribly wrong dear

Children's laughter
Untied laces and sticky hands
Memories are made

Better to turn that
Frown upside down before you
Get wrinkles from it

Words comfort me in
The space between awake and
Finally sleeping

Come with an open
Mind and heart or do not come
Around here at all

I have nothing to
Say to the world but I still
Try to write it all

Abracadabra
The applause sounds, bows taken
A curtain drops down

Top hat and bow tie
Suspenders peek out behind
His coat, dapper look

There's a mirage
In the mirror over where
Silence screams aloud
