Treasure

Like an old worn letter Well loved and preserved To be read over again Time after time Until the words Can be said verbatim From memory alone But still the letter Is clung to As a treasured keepsake -Kel Dayheart

Soulless

I try so hard But it all falls flat Paper thin Without meaning- Without soul I might as well Stop writing -Kel Dayheart

Fluctuate

My temperature does not want to stay It fluctuates constantly In the face of My ever-changing mood The hot flash of embarrassment The cold dread of fear Are a reminder That I can never keep A cool head in this situation -Kel Dayheart

Priceless

If a picture Is worth A thousand words How much Is a poem Worth?   A poem When written Just right Can evoke Such beautiful images That only the mind can see   So what is it Worth? -Kel Dayheart

Unmotivated

Motivation Or lack thereof It does not help To have a name For what I need When I cannot Scrounge up enough To do something about it -Kel Dayheart
