Summer’s Child

You remind me Of spring days Where the breeze likes to play Across my skin Teasing my hair to dance   You remind me Of sunny days Where the light reaches Yearning to touch Me under the tree's shade -Kel Dayheart

These Lines

My life is written on my skin Every bump and scrap has left a memory Some good, Some not so good   The lines of my story are laid out bare In the shape of my smile To the wrinkles forming Every moment leaves an etching -Kel Dayheart

Destroyer

You are a black hole Of every emotion I don't want To feel   You are a destroyer Of all the specks I have of lights Left -Kel Dayheart

Too Deep

This ocean is much too deep For me to stand my ground So I'll keep Treading water hoping against hope That I will not be Dragged under As my head bobs, and my lungs wheeze Trying to win An impossible fight -Kel Dayheart

Personable

She had a pretty face Like Helen of Troy It could launch a thousand ships It could cause the bloodiest of wars   She had a pretty face And that was her only redeeming feature With a personality of a harpy That could cut much deeper -Kel Dayheart
