The worst thoughts

are those you cannot escape

they creep upon you

at the latest hour

in the lonely dark

on the crying pillow

Shocking clarity ignite the senses

making the world too sharp

and the darks much deeper

for everything that is

will be everything that isn’t

the truth seeps in
